From Homer we drove back past Anchorage and made our way to Palmer. While in the area we visited our friends Denny and Kathy then went to the Alaska State Fair. We had a fun adventure where we climbed a 1000 foot hill called “The Butte” and accidentally went down the wrong way, which took us to the other side of the mountain from where we parked. We also learned that it can take over an hour to get a cab in Alaska…… good times.

After all that hiking its time to take a nap in my bed with my puppy.
We ran into our good friend Denny at the Alaska State Fair where he was involved in the antique tractor pull.
